We serve our partners by providing cost effective and easy-to-use computer tools to enable them to fulfill their vision

Who is Ministry Systems?  

MINISTRY SYSTEMS is a group of Christian professionals with a mission commitment to develop and deliver appropriate computer technology to individual ministries for the purpose of worldwide evangelism.

Our focus is to free the ministry team leaders to effectively use their God given talents in fulfilling their ministry vision, and not have to worry about technology. We attempt to define the technology for the whole ministry infrastructure and then develop processes for office tasks. In other words our bias is to put in place long term, stable systems to support a team orientation. Support and maintenance are always a part of this consideration.
 

What is The History of Ministry Systems?

MINISTRY SYSTEMS founder and Executive Director, Don McIntosh, met Jesus as his Savior when he was 9 years old. Don was educated as an electrical engineer and worked at Hughes Aircraft in Southern California for nearly 35 years. Upon retirement, he was called to meet the data processing needs of Christian ministries and missionaries. He noticed that the tools and systems he was familiar with in the aerospace industry could be applied in missions; hence the birth of Ministry Systems.
 

Current Software for our Ministries Partners Include -

A example of software development is the creation and installation of an Internet website for a Christian news publishing system for ASSIST Ministries. The website (www.assistnews.net) provides the communications that ties together: (1) the public screen at the ASSIST website, (2) a list server which delivers the stories as email to Christian publishers and other subscribers, (3) a searchable online archive, (4) a screen for approved writers to enter their stories, (5) an editors screen, and (6) a publishers screen for final approvals. Assist News is currently releasing four to five stories each day. This system has been named "News Flow".

We have recently put in place for several partners shareware that allows direct website user update without a webmaster for pictures and news releases.  In addition we are adding database software for ministries that need access to large and varied sources of information.

As the Internet has grown, products are becoming available to do some of the details. We then fall into the role of systems analysis and integrator. An example is SKYPE that provides phone over Internet service.
 

What Software Has Ministry Systems Delivered?

The first program was developed in 1989 to help Overcomers Outreach streamline and manage their donor management, approximately one thousand small support groups and donation development tasks. This program has been expanded to include, order entry, conference management and subscription management. It has been re-implemented to transition from a DOS to a Windows environment.

A major addition for the ministry teams was made with the development of MailCall Internet communication software by our team, approximately eight years ago predating currently available programs. The Internet-compliant MailCall mail hubs enabled users to communicate and share computer files, via the Internet. Major users were Faith Academy in the Philippines and Forest Home Academy near Redlands California. Mail Call has been retired. Currently available email products have superseded Mail Call.

What future does Ministry Systems have?

MINISTRY SYSTEMS is currently working with Latin America Indian Missions to develop a system to track the distribution of Gospel materials to the less reached people groups of the world. A mail hub has been installed on our co-located server that will continue to serve the demand for email list service. Currently the distribution rate is approximately 225,000 messages each month. The project backlog continually directs us to the Lord for resources.
